Small Tek Screws

The small tek screws features a triangle-shaped thread, which reduces friction and allows easier installation. There is no need to pre-tap a hole; simply screw it into plastic or thin metal, and the thread forms its own path. A car audio housing manufacturer needed frequent disassembly, but normal screws stripped after only a few uses. We provided them with our small tek screws. The tri-lobular thread experiences less wear, and after 20 cycles of tightening and loosening, the clamping force remains strong. This screw is now used on all their products. Our screws comply with GB/T 3098.5-2016, with a tensile strength of at least 500 MPa and head hardness of HRC 20–30, ensuring no head breakage during installation.

Diameters range from φ2 to 10 mm, with lengths from 4 to 40 mm. Materials include 10B21, 35#, 45# steel, SUS304, and SUS430. Surface finishes include zinc, nickel, chrome, Dacromet, phosphate, passivation, and black oxide. The tri-lobular thread's circumscribed circle equals the nominal diameter. Thread form meets ST series standards, with class 2 tolerance. Driving torque is approximately 20% lower than standard tri-lobular screws. Threads are made by rolling, producing full, unbroken crests. The pan head provides a large area for even clamping force, and the cross recess is deep enough to prevent screwdriver slippage. Salt spray resistance: automotive-grade zinc plating lasts 72+ hours, and stainless steel lasts 240+ hours. Shear strength per point is at least 300 MPa. We conduct drive tests and breaking torque tests for every batch.

Free samples are available for regular stock items (shipping only). Custom samples require a mold fee, which is credited back when mass production begins. There is no strict minimum order quantity for standard items, and small shipments are possible. For custom products, MOQ is discussed case by case. For outdoor use, we offer Dacromet and zinc-aluminum coatings with salt spray resistance of 96–120 hours, lasting 2–3 years outdoors. Stainless steel options include SS304 and SS316 for superior corrosion resistance. We work with GAC and Great Wall, meeting their strict thread precision requirements.
