Slotted Rivet

Our slotted rivet has one or more circular grooves on the shaft. These grooves create a mechanical lock during installation. This lock is much stronger against vibration and high loads than normal rivets or screws. It will not come loose or fall off. You can find our product in car wiper arm shafts, farm harvester blade shafts, and motorcycle clutches. One wiper motor customer came to us. His shaft rotated inside a plastic part for a long time. Without a grease groove, it would dry out, jam, or get loose. We designed a slotted rivet with grooves for him. After adding grease, the rotation life tripled. Also, the holding power went up, and it stayed tight. Now he uses our product for all his wiper motors. Our factory has an independent R&D and quality team. Our slotted rivet has a groove width of 0.5mm to 1.5mm. Groove depth is 0.2mm to 0.5mm. The groove shape can be U or V. We make it from your drawing. Groove position and quantity are also custom. We control size strictly. Outer diameter and shaft tolerance is IT9 grade. Length tolerance is ±0.10mm. Surface roughness is below Ra3.2μm. Hardness for cold-headed steel parts is HV220-280. Tensile strength is at least 800MPa. We test hardness and tensile strength for every batch. You get consistent performance.
